‘Don't let him bring you down to his level.’
I recall that statement being used repeatedly whenever I had a fight as a kid.
It seems to me that the powers that be in the American government could use that advice.
We wouldn’t put up with the kind of behavior from our kids, where threats were answered with punches.
I'm not talking about the kind of fighting that is just a reflex, attacking Afghanistan was different.
The kind of fighting the Bush government is advocating is calculated vengence on the man his daddy couldn’t get.
We need to determine the emotional maturity level of our civilization.
Are we children who cannot control our actions, and lash out as a defence?
Or are we adults, working out problems in calm, logical ways?

The world is a very scary place right now, and the powers that be want you to be scared. That makes
it easy to promote their hatred. The Bush regiem is drawing a line in the sand, daring an equally
hate filled man to cross it. The thing they fear is not for the people they say they protect, but
for the power they have over them. The behavior they engage in if exhibited by urban youth would be
called gang-banging. George Bush even stated that it did not matter how many people opposed war, it
would still be his duty to go on with it. Anti war protests have been springing up all over the
world, but he refuses to listen. Our voices fall on deaf ears. Ours society is not free if our voices
are repressed.
So you say, hey Larry if we have no voice how can we be heard? Well we have to give up on the idea that
the system will work for us, and create a new system. A global system that does not recognize the old
political boundaries. We are citizens of Earth, and everyone on it is our countryman. I believe its
possible in our lifetime to bring about peace, do you? If you do then youre already sold on my idea.
